I long to someday live in a sunny place by the water. Never say never...while painting this, I was reminded of those mornings on sunny vacations when we would stop to admire and sometimes photograph flowers. There was something magical about the warmth  and  sparkle of the sun coming through and around the blooms. I love all of the "happy" that this piece brings. As Auguste Renoir once said, “To my mind, a picture should be something pleasant, cheerful, and pretty, yes pretty! There are too many unpleasant things in life as it is without creating still more of them.”
