We got to miss the last day of school to load into our sweet, sweet Starcraft van at 4am. We were off to Daytona Beach from Glasgow, KY. This was pure bliss. My dad was a driving machine while we slept and played with our handheld Mattel football games. When we arrived on the strip, we had only one concern. What did the hotel pool look like? Was it big? Was there a slide? And once we got to that pool, our parents would try to convince us to spend more time at the beach. But alas, we wanted to live at that magical pool, and we enjoyed the beach from there. Definitely a sparkly memory.
